Eastern Long Island Sound Albies, Blues and Bass
10/11/11- Great 4 hour trip with the Johnston Family. We were into great surface action for the entire trip. Lots of albies and bluefish and a few bass blitzing on the reefs. The fish were moving fast and being boat shy. Proper boat placement and a quick, accurate cast was essential for a hook up. 11 year old Liam landed a 10 plus pound albie that took a soft plastic. We landed lots of 2 to 6 pound bluefish. Also, dropping a jig down worked well and accounted for a few blues, one bass and a big porgy. There are a lot of fish and lots of bait out their. Now is the time to fish before its too late.

Reel Cast Charters specializes in light tackle shallow water fishing in Long Island Sound and Block Island Sound.
