Cape Cod / Billingate Shoals

capt.mark - 06/25/2012

The bad weather has come today (Monday) so I’ve got a day off the water….which will allow me to catch up on a long list of things that need to be done !!   This past week has been lights out for fishing. All week we have been off the dock at 8am and some days getting back at 630pm. We have been first starting at the South Edge of Billingate Shoals. We have been using jigs, (H Bomb tackle) and our color choices have been purple, red or black.  We have been jigging in 20-28 feet of water and using a 100 yards of wire…ie…Cape Cod Cardio… After a few hours, we have moved into deep waters.

We have gone to the North Edge of Billingate and have been jigging in 45-52 feet of water. With deeper water, come more wire that has to be let out to get down to the bottom  which in turn means  a lot longer to reel in all that wire and that keeper bass.

The fishing has been great “so far” so if you would like to get out and do some fishing, please give me a call and we’ll make it happen. Follow us on facebook or our web site for all our pixs and videos of our trips. Stay safe and think screaming drags
